Through the Silver Screen

Since I was little, movies and cartoons have always caught my interest. I remember watching "SpongeBob" almost every day and even narrating episodes to my siblings. It wasn't until the pandemic, however, where my love for films and TV shows peaked.

It all started with my obsession of watching sitcoms like "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother" with my family. I found that they give me comfort and entertainment during times where I was mostly alone at home. When we finally got Netflix, that's when my hobby grew further. I found myself binge-watching shows like "Stranger Things" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and relating more to posts and comments I see online. Being a part of these huge fanbases was a thrill and it was something that got me busy during boring times. The more shows I watched, the more I was introduced to these different communities. It wasn't until lately that I started appreciating movies and films. Movie trilogies/series like "The Hunger Games" and "Fear Street" were fun to watch and I also started realizing my taste for movies.

Right now, I have probably watched over hundreds of shows and movies. I've learned so many from them and I will continue to add more to the collection as the thrill of escaping reality and being immersed in a new experience gives me joy every time.
